What kind of herbs can be used to treat decubitus in bedridden patients?
In herbal medicine, there are many prescriptions for the treatment of decubitus. We offer you a small selection of such tools:

Gathering for prophylaxis of bedsores:

Mix 2 parts of birch leaves and pine buds. 1 part of the herb oregano and horsetail field. Prepare the infusion at the rate of 1 tbsp. spoon of collection for a glass of boiling water. Take 1/2 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before eating.

• Freshly picked young black elderberries are boiled with boiling water. Can boiling milk. Apply to pressure sores.
The procedure is done 2 times a day.

• Decoction oak bark grease and wash the surface of decubitus. Napkins impregnated with decoction of oak, used for bandages.

Preparation of broth:

1 teaspoon dried and crushed bark of a young oak pour 1 cup of boiling water. They boil for 30 minutes. Insist 10 minutes and filter.

• For treatment of extensive, long-term healing decubitus, use water infusions and decoctions of calendula flowers. They have a soothing, wound-healing and anti-inflammatory effect.

Preparation of the present:

2 teaspoons of calendula flowers are poured with 2 cups of boiling water. Insist 15 minutes, filter. Take 1/2 cup 4 times daily before meals. The infusion is used externally for washing the suppurative bedsore areas and soaking the napkins for dressings.

• Ointment for pressure sores:
To chop the buds of poplar — 1 part, St. John’s wort flowers — 1,5 parts, alcohol 96% — 1,5 parts. Insist 2 hours. Add 4 pieces of lard. Heat in a water bath until alcohol evaporates. Blend the mixture through the cheesecloth. From the received ointment to do compresses on decubituses.
