Herbs for immunity. What folk remedies can be used to strengthen immunity.

The immune system is a kind of defensive line of our body, protecting it from genetically foreign substances that come from outside or are formed in the body itself.

The organs of the immune system produce immunocompetent cells (lymphocytes, plasmacids), biologically active substances (antibodies) that recognize, destroy or neutralize cells and other foreign substances (antigens) that have entered the body or formed in it — viruses, bacteria, fungi, transplanted tissues and organs, pollen, chemicals, etc.

A decrease in immunity is the main cause of most of our diseases.

In our time, almost all people, especially children, have a severely weakened immune system. This happens largely because our immune system is constantly working in an exorbitant mode. Simply put, the daily intake of environmental, household, medicinal and food toxins in the body does not give the immune system a minute of rest.

And as a natural result — a surge in the last thirty years of cancer, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and other diseases. What to do?

How to raise and strengthen the immune system? After all, it is practically impossible to stop breathing, eating, drinking, using the “benefits of civilization”.

This means we need to help our immune system. To increase immunity, medicinal plants with immunostimulating properties can make an invaluable contribution.

Increasing immunity with folk remedies

Here are some medicinal plants that are beneficial for weakened immunity:

• Marsh calamus. Toning agent for skin diseases, has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, bacteriostatic and antifungal effects, increases appetite, improves digestion.

Methods for using calamus: 1 tsp. pour a spoonful of calamus rhizome with a glass of boiling water, keep in a water bath for 15 minutes, leave for 45 minutes, strain. Take a quarter cup 3-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

• Aloe tree-like. Biogenic stimulant, helps the body to adapt to adverse conditions, has a positive effect on the metabolism of not only a sick person, but also a healthy person. It has a laxative, anti-burn, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect.

Ways of using aloe: it is recommended to support the body with a mixture of 100 ml of aloe juice, 500 g of walnuts, 300 g of honey and juice of 3-4 lemons in case of physical and nervous exhaustion. Contraindications to taking aloe: inflammation of the kidneys and bladder, pregnancy.

• Anise ordinary. Increases the activity of protective cells, has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, expectorant and bronchodilatory effects.

Ways of using anise: 1 tsp. pour a spoonful of anise fruit with a glass of boiling water, cook in a water bath for 15 minutes, leave for 45 minutes, drain. Take 1/4 cup 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

• Aralia Manchu, roots. Immunomodulatory effect, stimulates performance, nervous and cardiovascular systems, increases blood pressure, normalizes hormonal balance.

Ways of using aralia: a) pour 1 tablespoon of aralia roots with 200 ml of boiling water, leave for 2 hours, strain, take 1/3 cup 3 times a day; b) Add 30-40 drops of aralia’s tincture to 1/3 cup of water, drink 2 times a day, in the morning and afternoon before meals.

Contraindications to taking aralia: increased nervous irritability, insomnia, hypertension.

• Woolly-flowered astragalus, grass. Increases the production of interferons, protective proteins, lowers blood pressure, has a calming, vasodilating, diuretic effect.

Methods of using Astragalus: 1 table. Pour a spoonful of chopped dry Astragalus herb in a thermos with a glass of boiling water, leave for 4 hours, strain. Take 1 table. spoon 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

• Common basil, leaves. Increases the body’s defenses, has a tonic, tonic effect, an additional source of vitamin P and provitamin A.

How to use basil: add powdered dry basil leaves to soups and main courses to taste.

• Black elderberry, flowers. Increases the activity of protective cells, has antipyretic, diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant, sedative effects.

Elderberry uses: 1 table. pour a spoonful of elderflower flowers with a glass of boiling water, leave for 45 minutes, strain. Drink hot at night.
