Melanoma Treatment

Melanoma is a malignant tumor formed from pigment cells producing melanin that resembles a nevus (birthmark). The factors provoking the rapid growth of melanoma include getting a severe sunburn, the presence of trophic ulcers or scars at the bend of the limb.

The relative risk of a tumor is associated with a photo-type of skin: people with extremely fair skin and blue eyes are most susceptible to pathology. Experts do not exclude another factor — heredity. The skin is the most common localization. Less commonly, a tumor is observed in the retina and on the mucous membranes of the mouth, rectum, and vagina.

Clinical forms of skin melanoma are represented by nodular, lentiginous, surface-spreading, achromatic and acrolenginous. A pathologically altered nevus can be suspected by a number of signs: a rapid increase in size, a feeling of itching, a change in color and shape, and bleeding from the surface. The disease goes through four stages.

In the first two, development is represented by the primary focus without metastases, in the third, metastasis to nearby lymph nodes is observed. At the 4th stage, the prognosis is extremely unfavorable, since metastases are noted even in lymph nodes distant from the focus.

Seek medical help immediately after detecting melanoma. The main method of therapy is surgical removal. In the metastatic stage, immunotherapy, polychemotherapy, and radiation therapy are indicated. Adherents of alternative medicine offer treatment of melanoma with folk remedies.

Drops

With melanoma of the eye, the best way out at home is to use drops prepared by hand. The course is two weeks. If necessary, repeat after some time.

  1. Pour celery seeds with cold water and let stand a little. After four hours, they filter and begin to drip a folk remedy — one dose in the eye every six hours.
  2. Flax, elderberry and cornflower flowers are mixed in equal proportions. Pour boiling water at the rate of three to two. It is kept under the lid for at least eight hours and filtered. Drop two doses into the eye, repeating three times.
  3. Half a glass of peel of cucumbers is filled with half a cup of boiling water and boiled for 5 minutes. After filtering, treatment begins — one drop twice a day.
  4. Squeeze the juice from the red onion. Use as drops — one dose per day.
Treating eye melanoma with homemade drops is a risky exercise. Hoping for high efficiency, a person can get a deterioration.
