With thrombophlebitis, to thin the blood, traditional medicine is often used in the form of infusions of blood-thinning herbs, or local compresses. We give several such folk recipes on this page; these proven recipes are successfully used in folk medicine for the treatment of varicose veins and thrombophlebitis.

Hazelnut

Very often I met complaints about diseases such as varicose veins and thrombophlebitis. And after all, it is known that almost half of our women encounter such problems. And the cure for these troubles is quite simple, and this folk remedy is a leaf of common hazel (hazelnut), which grows in abundance in the south of our country.

Here, they are successfully treated as follows: 2 tablespoons of crushed dry leaves are brewed with 1 cup of boiling water (do not boil!), Insisted for several hours and drunk 50 ml 4 times a day before meals. Very simple and, most importantly, effective. It should be noted that such an infusion is very good for the treatment of vitamin deficiencies and intestinal diseases. I myself was clearly convinced of the effectiveness of such treatment.

Chestnut oil

With thrombophlebitis, traditional healers recommend grinding in a coffee grinder 50 g of kernels of ripe horse chestnut, pour the resulting powder into 250 ml of olive oil and mix thoroughly. Massage the prepared ointment, rub in the evening before going to bed in painful places. Repeat the procedure every night for a month. After that ~ take a week break, and then repeat the treatment again.

You can mix in equal parts by volume the powder of oak bark and horse chestnut, then take 2 tbsp. tablespoons of the mixture, add 5 tbsp. tablespoons of clay and dilute all with warm water to the consistency of thick sour cream. Coat diseased legs in the evening with a thin layer of this slurry, cover with wet rags, wrap with a dry cloth and leave overnight. Wash off with warm water in the morning. And so on until the relief.

An exercise

I will introduce you to a simple exercise that significantly improves the blood supply to the legs, and, in general, acts perfectly on the entire vascular system and indirectly improves heart function. Great for the prevention and treatment of diseases such as varicose veins and thrombophlebitis.

To rise on toes so that the heels are torn off from the floor by only one centimeter, and drop sharply to the floor. After thirty repetitions of the exercise, take a break for ten seconds. At each lesson, you can do no more than sixty repetitions of the exercise. It is recommended to repeat the exercises 3-5 times a day for one minute.

Cabbage compress

This folk remedy is most effective for thrombophlebitis. It is necessary to take the cabbage leaf and beat it off lightly and cut it with a sharp knife. Then, on the one hand, it is lubricated with honey or vegetable oil. This tool is applied to the affected area and is fixed with natural tissue. It is necessary to keep such a compress as long as possible, up to a day. Even if the main symptomatology has disappeared, it is still used for a whole month.

As a raw material for compresses, wormwood grass, grated together with yogurt, can be used. Compress is done at night.

Treatment of thrombophlebitis with leeches

In acute or exacerbated stages of thrombophlebitis, treatment with leeches is very effective.
The best way to deliver leeches is to place them on two sides of the diseased vessel at a distance of a couple of centimeters. It is advisable to do this in a checkerboard pattern, between vertically lying leeches should be at least 6 cm.

Depending on the degree of spread of the disease, 6-15 leeches are required for the treatment of thrombophlebitis with this folk remedy. You can not place them on the site under the knee, care should be taken when laying them in the groin area (with thrombophlebitis of the pelvic vessels). It is strictly forbidden to be treated with leeches if a purulent process begins with thrombophlebitis.
